Fertile Ground Farm Inspiring You to Get Excited About Your Food Fertile Ground is a small farm offering 5 acres of vegetable-growing goodness. Agatha, Ontario.

If fresh, local & organic food gets you excited we’ll probably get along. We LOVE seeing people get excited about their food. Our farm is located just west of Waterloo in St. Join our CSA for weekly vegetables through the seasons. We also sell to some local restaurants and retail shops.

Working in the mustard cover crop so we can plant garlic on Friday. The mustard acts as a biofumigant as it breaks down, helping kill off any nematodes in the soil that might attack the garlic as it grows.

The last seeds and plants of 2026 are in the ground. We ripped out 1/3 of our tomatoes to plant some last greens for our Fall CSA (link in bio to get in on that). Only garlic remains to put in the ground later this month.

Curious about trying a short season CSA? Craving a little longer access to fresh, local food to December?

Our Fall Fresh CSA runs Nov 3 - Dec 1 offering 5 weeks of local eating with a focus on FRESH. Shares include greens from our tunnels, salad-friendly crunchables like carrots and kohlrabi, plus an assortment of belly-warming favourites like squash and potatoes.

Add weekly eggs &/or mushrooms, and top up with other extras from our online store any weeks you want.

Pick-ups Tuesdays 4-6 in Kitchener or flexible pick-up Wed-Sat from our Neustadt farm.

FINALLY getting cover crop seeded. One of the consequences of being short staffed much of the season has been an inability to get to some important tasks that dont have a hard deadline. Until they do! We are reaching the end of the window for having our cover crops grow enough before winter weather hits so we are finally making it happen:

Mustard as a biofumigant where the garlic will he planted.
Clover with a nurse crop where the zucchini and cucumbers will go next year.
Daikon radish everywhere else.
