The importance of reading labels

I was making some cranberry apple tarts. I put my craisins in the pot to steep and make syrup. After letting it simmer all day I it was time to add the apples and finish it off. Noticing that the color was a little bit off thought I should taste it first
The flavor that hit my mouth was not cranberry. It also wasn't cherry. Letting the sweet syrup coat my mouth like a sommelier tasting a fine w**e I focused on the flavor profile trying to figure out what I had concocted.

Thompson raisins

Without reading the actual bag I grabbed raisins instead of dried cranberries.

And spent an entire day steeping them into a plump pie filling.

What on Earth am I going to do with a pot of raisins in a raisin syrup???

Take my butter tart recipe and turn it into raisin pie?!? I think it turned out I've had no complaints

Off to a nice start for this week's 12 weeks of giving! I hope you know how much I appreciate your support in this! By
