Well over the weekend I did something that I’ve helped out with, but never done. Over the years I’ve helped fill bags or silos but never ran the chopper. This year I had a small field to try it out on the farm but being a small new guy meant probably bottom of the list for custom guys. And I don’t blame them. So I bought this ol gal. Put her to work and harvested and stacked silage in a bunker. Now to pack and cover.

This weekend is probably the last weekend you’ll be able to see the yellow flowers. As you can see pictured. The petals have done their job and are starting to droop and fall off. But there is some parts of the field,along the trail, that are a little later and still have photo worthy flowers. I appreciate and enjoy everyone who came out to enjoy the sunflower field and photo op areas. After this weekend the items will be removed from the field other than the cabinet out front and the trail will remain a walking trail
