It's a good year for Saskatoons and Max and Maggie certainly didn't want to miss out, it was a race to see who could pick them first, us or them.

Saskatoon berries contain lots of beneficial nutrients for the dogs, but they are only allowed them in moderation, don't want any upset tummies.

We are keeping back some of Earl's gilts for breeding so it's time for Earl to move on to pastures new. He is a 2 and a half year old, purebred Berkshire boar. Very friendly disposition, even happy to share his food with the chickens. He is gentle with the ladies and is well suited to the outdoor lifestyle.
