We can finally see the chicken coop again !

This big tree and a couple of large branches broke with a storm about 2 years ago and no one took care of it. Everything was growing back and overgrown with grass and vegetation ! We couldn't even access the coop anymore.

Dalai worked all day under the rain yesterday, making the most of his day off despite the weather.

Next, we need to clean the pen (theres a fully enclosed pen on the right of the coop, hidden behind all the branches!!) and hopefully we'll soon have chicken in there.

Et on commence enfin à travailler la terre 😩 la première ligne est la plus difficile, le reste ira mieux.

Pour m'encourager un peu aussi commencé par la section la plus difficile, où l'herbe avait presque complètement repoussée. Heureusement, la plupart du jardin n'a que quelques petits arbres et des touffes de mauvais herbes.

Ce n'est pas une tâche compliquée, mais ce n'est pas rapide non-plus 😅 pour le moment, je commence avec une moitié du jardin, j'ai encore espoir de trouver une becheuse, un rotoculteur, pour l'autre moitié.

Entre temps, d'ici là j'aurai peut-être développé de nouveau muscle, a force de sauter sur ma pelle et arracher de grosses mottes de racines 😂

Disons que je n'étais pas trop déçue quand mon apprenti jardinier m'a fait savoir que c'était l'heure de la sieste!

On s'éloigne un peu du sujet des chevaux ces temps-ci, j'espère qu'avoir un peu de contenu de jardinage ne vous dérange pas trop 😬 parce que mes nouvelles semences et lampes de croissances arrivent la semaine prochaine 🎉🎉🎉

It probably isn't the best for the grass under, but there's sooooo much to do, I feel like well never make it through if we don't start, and there's still so much snow.

The lawn wasn't mowed for at least 2 years. The grass is so long, it looks like someone just open a hay bail in front of the house.

And that's just the narrow path leading to the door 😩 The wheelbarrow is still stuck in ice.

Today, i was thinking I would need more dirt to finish starting my seeds.

Well the garden gods heard me.

While I was checking on the garden today at least 5 bags of dirt had emerged from the snow !

I'll have to free one from the remaining snow and bring it inside tomorrow.
