A Gold at the Decanter World Wine Awards is a tremendous honour, but what makes this recognition especially meaningful is everything behind the bottle.

Our Churchside Chardonnay 2022 has been awarded Gold and 95 points at the 2026 Decanter World Wine Awards, one of the world’s most respected wine competitions, judged blind by leading wine experts from around the globe.

As Ontario Wine Week comes to a close, it feels especially fitting to raise a glass to what makes this province’s wine community so special - its people, its land and its shared passion.

This recognition belongs to many hands. To our winemaker, Keith, who continues to shape wines of character and place. To our vineyard team, whose care throughout the seasons makes every vintage possible. And to our loyal community of supporters who continue to share in this journey with us.

We’re proud to see Prince Edward County recognized on the world stage and even prouder to be part of Ontario’s growing wine story.

A quick heads-up!

We’ll be closing a little early this Saturday, June 13, for a private event.

Our Garden will be open until 4 PM and our Tasting Room will remain open until 6 PM.

We’ll be back to our regular hours on Sunday. Thanks for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Join us at Closson Chase for The Art of Charcuterie Experience, an afternoon of wine, creativity and beautifully crafted bites in the vineyard.

In collaboration with Susan McGuire of , you’ll learn the art of styling your own charcuterie board using locally sourced ingredients, all paired with Closson Chase wines in a relaxed, hands-on setting.

Your experience includes a handcrafted Bark Woodshop board to design on and take home as a keepsake.

Ontario Wine Week runs June 14th - 20th, shining a spotlight on the grape growers, winemakers and wineries that make Ontario one of Canada’s most exciting wine regions.

Here in Prince Edward County, every bottle begins with the vineyard. The limestone-rich soils, cool climate and dedicated hands behind the scenes all play a role in bringing our wines to life.

The Victoria Day long weekend always feels like the start of the season around here.

The vines are waking up, the Garden is open again, and there’s finally a reason to slow down with a glass of wine in hand.

Our Tasting Room will be open:
Saturday: 11–6
Sunday: 11–6
Victoria Day Monday: 11–5

The Garden will be open daily from 11–5 serving wine by the glass and light fare from our new seasonal menu.

Come by for a tasting, settle in for a glass, and spend a little time with us this long weekend.
