12 years of Traynor. It’s kind of hard to believe.
Labour Day weekend in 2014, we opened the doors to Traynor Family Vineyard for the first time. We had a vineyard, a little winery, some big ideas, and absolutely no way of knowing what the next 12 years would bring.
Since then, a lot has changed.
The vineyard has grown. The winery has changed. Our wines have evolved. We’ve experimented, taken chances, made some weird things, made some really good things, and figured out along the way that doing things a little differently is probably exactly who we are.
Our family has grown too.
When Traynor opened, Audrey and Ezra weren’t even here yet. Now they’re growing up at the winery, running around the vineyard, spending summers on the patio and becoming part of the story themselves.
And somehow, 12 harvests have come and gone.
Through all of it, one of the best parts has been the people who have grown alongside us.
Some of you have been coming here since the beginning. Some discovered us somewhere along the way. Some came for a wine tasting and returned with friends, kids, dogs, parents and eventually became familiar faces we genuinely look forward to seeing.
That’s the part of owning a family business that I don’t think we could have understood when we started.
You build a business, but somewhere along the way, a community grows around it.
So this Labour Day weekend, we’re celebrating 12 years of Traynor, and we hope you’ll come celebrate with us.
From Friday, September 4 to Monday, September 7, we’re bringing back 2014 pricing with a 12 bottle mixed case of Gamay Noir, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris for $180.
We’ll also have a very limited number of 12 bottle Mystery Boxes worth at least $360, with a few library wines hiding inside some of them.
DJ ALSET will be on the patio Saturday from 3 to 7 PM, and it’s also the final weekend for our summer menu, wine slushies and summer cocktails before we move into fall.
No tickets. No fancy anniversary party.
Just come hang out with us.
Bring your friends. Bring your family. Bring the dog. Have some food, drink some wine and help us celebrate the little winery we started 12 years ago and all the life that has happened since.
Thank you for being part of it.
Here’s to the next 12.
