In 2014, we moved to Pictou County and quickly fell in love with the people, the diversity and the landscape. With dreams of creating a small scale farm, we found a slice to call our own. Since then we have worked hard to turn these dream to reality.
Nestled in the East River Valley is the small, picturesque village of Hopewell, only ten minutes south of New Glasgow. Our name “Milltown” pays homage to the original name given to the village of Hopewell. A fitting tribute as the land we now farm once belonged to the original keepers of the local gristmill.
Every animal on our farm lives a life of respect, with access to fresh air, fresh water and carefully tended to by our three children.
