Matthew and Nicola Townson moved to nova Scotia, Canada in June 2012 to start a new life and family. We eventually found and bought a lovely home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in a small expanding community HUBBARDS. We now have 3 young girls a newly born son, our four legged bodyguard the German Shepherd, 2 geese, 7 ducks, rabbits and laying hens. Matthew trained in Agriculture back in England a
nd worked on various farms dealing with horses, cows, pigs, sheep and chickens. He also worked with growing and tending to plants. He has self taught himself along with a fellow beekeeper and friend to raise bees and has given help and advice to neighbouring beekeepers with issues they may have had. Matthew now wants to put his early years expertise to use here in Canada. Nicola is trained in the field of childcare and worked within the education sector back in England. She now works at the local hardware store. As a hobby Nicola loves to make cards and made a huge amount of Christmas cards that she sold. She is now looking to produce more with also making candles. A new challenge that Nicola is looking to uptake is making bath products such as bath bombs, salts, scrubs and soaps.
