Originally aquired through the Land Grant Act, Springfield Farm operated as a Tourist destination in the late 1800's Efforts now are in the propagation of high quality market garden vegetables of many types as well as cured hay varieties for our small Irish Dexter cattle herd. Gram’s gardens are the focus for this week. Looking to shave a couple hundred hours of labour off this year’s crop. Walkways used to get hardwood chips but they proved to hard to acquire regularly, so we’re going with non-woven cloth.
