It’s been a little while since we posted, so we have to catch up on what’s happening on the farm!
We bought 3 new future mamas, and had to meet the big pig liner to transfer them to our small stock trailer.
My video of unloading them into the barn has disappeared so I’ll go get a new video of them enjoying their new life!

Fun in the farm! The water bowl wasn’t filling properly so we checked it out and found something unexpected!

Speaks for itself

The training pen isn’t the first time the babies go outside, but they learn to eat solid food, drink water, and mingle with their new roomies. The mamas will move into the “dry sow” pen after this, so they have to get reacquainted after a few weeks apart.

Sometimes things don’t go as planned. We had loaded up 8 pigs to go to the butcher but an hour after we finished we got a call, and our appointment was rescheduled. So those 8 had to be unloaded again until another day. Camera credit goes to the 10 year old!

Every pastured pig has to start somewhere! In this pen, they learn about the sun and wind after being in the barn for the first week of their life. They also learn about electric fences so that when they go out into the real pasture, they know where the boundaries are! farmlife

It’s baby pig season again! Playtime shows all the different ways they like to spend their time. And always, so cute!

Chatty mama pigs. Both in the last few days of their pregnancy. I was just in the barn to check on them, and they wanted to say hi!

Just a girl having fun raising goats. The kids are definitely her friends!
