Breed progression means nothing without land preservation.
We wrapped up a massive day of fencing to get our rotational grazing moving. We held the herd off our native pastures a little longer than usual this year, five-plus years of drought have taken a toll on the grass in our area, and giving it time to establish before the cows hit it is crucial.
At Lingley Livestock, pushing the Shorthorn breed forward goes hand-in-hand with being true stewards of the land. We work with the environment to ensure both our cattle and our pastures thrive for the long haul.
