Rocky Mountain Roasters

Rocky Mountain Roasters Providing complete coffee solutions to the Rocky Mountains since 1995. www.rockymountainroasters.com

In 1995, Rocky Mountain Roasters began operations in the Town of Jasper located in Jasper National Park on the western border of Alberta, Canada. Situated in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Jasper is a world-class tourist destination visited every year by thousands intent on enjoying the natural beauty of the surrounding area. Providing coffee of gourmet quality to this market as well as the loc

al population became the mission goal of Rocky Mountain Roasters. With friendly and efficient service to the various food and beverage outlets in the region, the Company progressed from producing a first blend to purveyor of a wide range of coffees, teas, hot chocolates, condiments and associated products. With coffee came the need for reliable brewing and dispensing and Rocky Mountain Roasters started the business of sales, maintenance and repair of high-grade equipment. In 2003, Rocky Mountain Roasters became a certified “Fair Trade” Coffee Roaster and part of a worldwide plan to ensure a proper standard of living for coffee growers and their families around the globe. Part of the proceeds from the sale of Fair Trade Organic coffees supports this program. Today, from Edmonton, the capital of Alberta, through the Rockies to Banff and Lake Louise, Rocky Mountain Roasters provides freshness and value to the beverage industry. The process of importing and roasting green coffee beans before the blending, custom packaging and distribution of several house labels is controlled by strict guidelines and high standards. The current expansion of vendors from specialty coffee shops to fine dining restaurants and the growing popularity of espresso, cappuccino, exotic blends and flavors gives Rocky Mountain Roasters the challenge of supplying coffee of unsurpassed quality to an ever increasing marketplace.

We are forever grateful for your kind words and continued support as we navigate this challenging time ♥️🥹. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. And we look forward to sipping a tasty coffee from an old grind branded cup soon!!!

You may have noticed these lately. Plain old random cups, not fancy, no brand. But they have a story to tell.

Back in 2016, when we purchased The Old Grind, we were approached by Les at Rocky Mountain Roasters and quickly switched our coffees to their yummy beans. At the start, we wanted to support local as much as we could. This was one of the best decisions we have ever made!

We also worked with Les to create our branded drink ware and soup bowls. They supplied and stored all of our wares on site in Jasper, and allowed us to pull a case or two at a time as needed. This allowed an affordable option for a new business that we likely couldn’t have accomplished on our own.

The wildfire in Jasper took many businesses, including theirs. But in all of the chaos, they never missed a beat, and managed to continue to get us supplies and beans right from the day after the evacuation. We were able to continue to provide coffees for our customers, old and new, and supplied the unified command centre and firefighters with a lot of coffee from a local business.

We are so grateful and really proud to tell the tale, and want to send them a huge shout out ♥️

Rocky Mountain Roasters have not only been our suppliers, but more importantly, partners in our success from day one. Not only have they provided us with great coffees, but also equipment, parts, support, maintenance and repairs on our equipment (including many FaceTime calls after hours between Carl and Travis over the years when our espresso machine went down).

So many thanks to Travis, Les, Lee, Michelle and all. You rock!

We may not have fancy cups, but we have you. And the best coffee in town!

Thank you to everyone that has reached out. We are sad to announce the home of Rocky Mountain Roasters for the past 30 years was lost as a result of the wildfire in Jasper. But our business was not just the building we operated out of, it was the community we were founded in and our customers from far and wide. We can’t thank everyone enough for their patience and continued support while we navigate this. We are working on plans to ensure as little interruptions to our services as possible and will be temporarily operating out of our Calgary warehouse.

Most of all we would like to thank the firefighters and first responders for what they have done and continue to do to protect our town.

Our thoughts are with our small town. We are and always will be
