A different kind of spa day for Mother's Day on the farm 😆... hoof trimming "pedicures" for our mamas and babies!

03/16/2024

Our goat babies are 9 months old already and their mamas have been giving us a steady supply of delicious fresh goat milk all winter long - for drinking, baking, and making yogurt. Next up is cheese! We made our first batches of honey goat milk soap, ready for testing in April. Our flock of noisy waddlers started laying loads of delicious eggs. The epic battles between Nibbles the drake and Ralphy the dog are pretty one-sided, and always hilarious. 😂 We ❤️🐐farm life.

Coming soon.... Aktsikheta Honey Harvest 2023 😋🍯

08/02/2023

These hard working bees produced a nice batch of honey this year. It's time to harvest, extract, and jar. 😋🍯

The bees have been really busy 🐝 🐝 🐝 but not quite ready to extract the honey. Maybe another week or two for some hives. 🍯 Our goat babies are almost a month old already! Chewbacca and Milkshake stopped jumping around just long enough so we could get this cute photo. 😍

Lucille, Bambi and Groot learning to use their 3-day old legs!

06/20/2023

Exciting news from our farm!! On Sunday June 18th Peaches went into labour. We checked on her regularly but we missed the first birth and our daughter came running yelling "there's a baby!!". We named her Lucille because she's loud and feisty like Lucille Ball. We helped Peaches deliver two more healthy tiny babies. First a buckling with a cute floppy ear, who was dancing around almost immediately - we named him Groot, then a tiny calm doeling who looks like a little fawn, so we called her Bambi.

Two days later, on June 20th, Willow went into labour early in the morning. She was pushing for a long time with no progress and was clearly in distress. Thankfully our vet was able to get here quickly to turn a huge stuck buckling. That big guy's name is Chewbacca! His sister was born right after. By this time we were all tired and hungry - so her name is Milkshake!

Moms and babies are all doing well. We can barely handle the amount of cuteness around here! 🥰

Kidding season is here, and we're ready! Peaches and Willow are waddling around now and getting their rest while they still can. Baby Luna is one year old today (May 28).
