Caught you, you bad Guinea! Her friends sold her out and I found her secret nest. This is OG Guinea so she’s on coop arrest from now on. I brought her eggs with her, I’m not a monster, so she can sit on them in safety. ❤️

The goslings are growing! They still have a heat plate in with them but they likely don’t need it anymore, it’s more of a security blanket for them. Haha. They’ll be outside terrorizing everyone else soon enough. 😂

They’re still rooming with the turkeys, but turkeys will soon be moving into the turkey house until they’re big enough to go into gen pop.

Well this was a fun surprise! The Guinea flock includes regular pearls and some pied birds, but I don’t have any all white. Now I do! It’s 4 siblings are all pearls. Now to see if I can track down some lavenders or something. 😂

We had a mink attack the other night and sadly lost our sweet little disabled hen. :( we managed to save Tapi though, and have not seen any signs of it coming back since. The dogs try their best but some of these predators are just too wily and small and fast for them to protect against.

Tapi is healing well from her injuries, she’s a tough old girl and definitely tried to save herself and held on until she could be rescued. 💙 she’s got some significant injuries to her head but all the important things are intact and she’s almost back to normal already, aside from the missing feathers and scabs on her head.
