Now is a great time to take advantage of late-winter stretches of mild, dry weather—they’re a sweet spot for oxalic acid vaporization (OAV). With colonies mostly broodless or holding very tight brood nests, OAV hits a far higher percentage of phoretic mites, setting colonies up well for spring buildup.
