Fall is fully upon us which means, for better or for worse, winter is around the corner. With the changing seasons we wanted to post a quick reminder about bringing your pup to RCB & Gin Lane!
Firstly, if you didn't already know, we have a separated dog friendly space that is open [mostly] year round! We call this room the "Fireplace Room" as it is heated by a small fireplace, which keeps the room toasty and useable about 50 out of 52 weeks of the year. If the FP room is ever closed due to super low temperatures, we will post about it :).
Secondly, we ask that you access the FP Room, with your dog, through our front door. This just allows up to seat you and make sure you receive prompt service.
Thirdly, we ask that you refrain from allowing your pup up onto our furniture. The FP Room is filled with couches for humans to enjoy, if you want to bring a blanket or a pet bed with you for you doggo, you are more than welcome to do so.
Fourth, please ensure that your dog, or your dogs leash does not interfere with any walkway or doorways, and that your pup is kept safely away from foot traffic.
Fifth, we of course ask that your dog be under control and on a leash at all times. This means in respect to both humans and other dogs. We also ask that you refrain from feeding full meals to your pet in the presence of other dogs (you know resource guarding, etc.), as we'd love to avoid any possible dog fights.
Sixth, please make sure your doggy is mostly dry and clean when coming to visit. The FP Room is small, and wet dog, well, it smells like wet dog. A lot.
Finally, just a friendly reminder to ask a dog's people before approaching. Whether you're visiting with or without (sad) a furry BFF, please always check in before giving a pat to a foreign good boy or girl.
We absolutely LOVE to meet your dogs so please please bring them in. Seriously, we like them more than you (just kidding... 🫠).
