We're thrilled to share that Hardy Buoys Smoked Fish Inc. has officially transitioned to Indigenous ownership.

This partnership brings together Kwakiutl Nation Development Corporation, Upper Fraser Indigenous Sustainable Harvesters, and Authentic Indigenous Seafood as General Partner. It's a milestone moment for our network and reflects our shared commitment to economic self-determination and strengthening Indigenous participation across Canada's seafood value chains.

Hardy Buoys will continue operating with the same quality and community presence you know, while we build toward long-term growth, resilience for our member fisheries, and meaningful work opportunities for Indigenous communities.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the celebration in Port Hardy on March 19. This is just the beginning.
