Meet the Judges - Our team of judges have over 170 years of combined experience in the meat industry.

Meet Ronnie Keeley. Ronnie currently works at Kam Lake View Meats located just outside Kamloops in picturesque Cherry Creek (16 years). He’s competed at the 2022 World Butchers Challenge in Sacramento USA and the 2025 World Butchers Challenge in Paris France as a Young Butcher! He's now joined Team Canada to represent his country in 2028. Thank you for your commitment to BCBB!

Unfortunately, due to flooding at his shop, Ben Carson from Legendary Meats Ltd is unable to join us as judge this year. We send our best wishes to Ben and his team as they deal with the cleanup and recovery.

Stepping up to the plate is Ron Keely Sr., owner/operator of Kam Lake-View Meats Ltd. for the past 33 years! Ron brings an incredible 38 years of industry experience and knowledge to the judging table, and we are excited to have him be part of this year’s competition.
