Of course the main character of this meal is our Speckle Park beef. Beef recipe coming tomorrow on Life of Speckle Lane.

Love showing in my hometown of Bobcaygeon! Always nice catching up with friends, family and fellow cattle breeders, while also getting to put some faces to the names of those who follow along with us here.

A great day in the AOB show for our Speckle Lane crew:

SPL Pistol Annie — 1st in Class, Heifer Calf & Champion Female
SPL Pinup Girl — 2nd in Class, Heifer Calf & Reserve Champion Female
SPL Muffin Man — 1st in Class, Mature Bull & Champion Bull

Speckle Lane Farm — Champion AOB Breeders’ Herd
Reserve Champion All Breeds Breeders’ Herd
Thanks Cody for the help, but Abby may not forgive you for stealing her favourite bull.

Loading up the trailer for the show tomorrow. Here’s a better look at the home made divider people are asking about. We use this when going to cattle shows to give us more tack room at the front of the trailer.

When a swarm of bees ends your show career and leaves you convinced one particular man was responsible for the whole thing… ahem not naming names.

But you still love me. SPL No Doubt

Matt and I always enjoy walking through the fair exhibit hall entries. Such a fun surprise to spot our cow/calf pair that was on display at the fair last year entered in the farm animal photo contest! 📸 Thanks for making our girls part of your fair entry!

Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket through us for the Jackpot event, whether online or in person! We actually had two tickets in the top 10, which was so exciting. While neither was the winning ticket drawn, we’re thankful to everyone who took a chance and supported the opportunity to win Speckle Lane Princess Peach.

Sharing Victoria Beef Farmers’ post below with the winning ticket information!

Happy to have a day to work through the sweater backlog after a busy few days at our local fair!

The love for the Statement Hoodies has been more than I expected, and since every sweater is made to order and passes through my hands, it’s taken a little time to work through them all.

I’m almost 100% caught back up and so appreciative of every order, and especially your patience while I worked my way through them.

Prom Queen and Prosecco spent 3 long days in town… I think it’s safe to say these girls are ready to head home.

A big weekend of meeting people, getting lots of attention and representing Speckle Park!

Yesterday was a great day at the Speckle Park Show at Lindsay Exhibition!

Speckle Lane Muffin Man was named Champion 2 Year Old Bull, and Speckle Lane Pinup Girl took Reserve Champion heifer Calf!

Matt, Brior and I are incredibly thankful to Abby and Cody Staples for jumping in and helping us show. Having an extra set of hands (or two!) makes all the difference on show day.
