Hi all - Barb here with an announcement!
As many of you know, I've been working away at my Master's degree for the past 3 years. Today and with a sense of great pride, I am here to tell you that I have completed my degree.
So, what does this mean for me and for Queen Bee Farm?
At Queen Bee, we are always going to grow flowering plants of all kinds - that will never change! But what will change is that my focus will shift towards building my new practice, Courage to Grow Psychotherapy, here in the Kawartha Lakes. I am accepting new clients ages 18+ who need support with mental health concerns. For the time being, appointments are virtual, but watch for an announcement in June about in-person sessions. It's my big dream to combine my love of horticulture with my passion for psychotherapy, and I look forward to the day when I can provide services to clients that include elements of growing and nature!
Will you still be able to buy flowers from us? Yes, you sure can. I plan on returning to the Bobcaygeon Farmers Market for select dates in 2026. I'll be sure to announce those dates in my feed soon.
And, you'll find me once again providing flowers at Kawartha Lakes Pride Pride in the Park again this year! I'm looking forward to buddying back up with some of my favourite Pride people (I'm looking at you, Rylee Rae and Doug Hawe Real Estate!) for a fun day of flower crown making and spreading joy in our beautiful community.
Thank you to every single one of you who has supported me on this journey. You may not know it, but every flower you've purchased has helped to fund my graduate degree, and I appreciate you more than I can say. I look forward supporting folks in the Kawartha Lakes to foster good mental health!
