Be patient - farmers at work!

🚜 Be Patient. Give s p a c e. Stay safe.

Farm equipment is large, slow, and often takes up more of the road than passenger vehicles. Maintain a safe distance and only pass when it’s absolutely safe to do so.

Give farm equipment plenty of space when passing. Never cut in front or stop abruptly after overtaking, as large machinery cannot brake as quickly as a passenger vehicle.

Farmers have the right to a safe workplace, and for them that workplace often includes our roadways. As they travel between fields and farms in large, slow-moving equipment, it’s important to remember that they’re hard at work.

Whether you’re behind the wheel of a tractor or a car, we all share the same goal: getting home safely at the end of the day.

🚨 Impatient driving risks serious accidents and fines. Careless Driving comes with a $490 fine and 6 demerit points.

It’s not too late to complete a nomination to the Peterborough County Agricultural Wall of Fame for consideration! Nominations will be accepted until May 1.

Visit the Agriculture Heritage Building at Lang Pioneer Village Museum to view the citations of past nominees that outlines many incredible contributions to agriculture and agribusiness.

We’ve picked and picked and lugged and lugged. We can confirm that our 2025 pumpkin & squash field trips are done for the year.

That means, what you see is what you get!!😳

We’ll be open all weekend long for Halloween 🎃 inspiration. We have an assortment of sizes, colours and shapes.

Dorisdale PUMPKINS Update

It’s Keene Pumpkinfest!! We’re set up with pumpkins, gourds and squash of all sizes, colours and varieties! Be sure to stop by to say hello!

Check out all the vendors, the displays, live music and have a piece of pumpkin pie🧡

If you don’t want to carry your pumpkins around, stop by the farm on your way to or home from Pumpkinfest. We’re at 2612 County Road 2 between Mathers Corner and Hiawatha Line.
