Today is Saturday. September 19 and our 60th day of sweet corn for 2026!

Picking has started in our final planting of sweet corn so we expect this is the last weekend for sweet corn. Come and get it!!

We also have tomatoes, garlic, honey, zucchini and of course, Dorisdale Beef. More and more pumpkins and squash are being picked for display at the farm. It’s a perfect weekend for summer and fall eating to collide 💥

🌽SWEET CORN UPDATE🌽

It’s Monday, September 14. We can’t believe it’s our 55th consecutive day for sweet corn this season. What a delicious year it’s been.

The good news is we expect to have sweet corn for the next week. Make plans to head to Dorisdale for the last of our 2026 sweet corn.

Pumpkin picking is well underway with all shapes and sizes available well into October.

We look forward to seeing you. Thanks for your continued support of our family farm💚🌽💛

🌽SWEET CORN UPDATE🌽

We’re open today with more delicious white sweet corn. Thanks to everyone who’s picked up the ‘fruits of our labour’ this weekend!

We’re pulling out a picture from our early corn days with the Doris kids at our picnic table corn stand. Peter’s parents, Gerald & Bernadette, served corn customers from that table for years.

It’s hard to believe we only have 2 back to school this week. Liam and Ella are both studying engineering at Queen’s University in Kingston. Claire and Maggie have joined the full time working ranks; Claire is an engineer at Bruce Power and Maggie is a nurse at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay.

Tomorrow will be Peter’s first September in decades with no where to go but the barn and corn field as a new retiree and full-time farmer. How exciting! Carolyn is making to do lists 🤭

Wishing everyone a wonderful September!

🌽SWEET CORN UPDATE🌽

September is here and Labour Day weekend is just hours away!

Today will be our last day of bicolour (peaches ‘n cream) sweet corn for the season. Don’t worry though - we have what we’re predicting to be a great supply of delicious white corn for the next couple of weeks.

White corn is a specialty at Dorisdale Farm. The kernels are tender, sweet and when cooked, the corn is the shade of butter. Yum 😋

We can’t wait to see you this weekend and for the rest of sweet corn season.

💚🌽💛
