A little fall warmth, baked into a pumpkin tart. 🍂

What makes our Thanksgiving tart special is the care tucked into every step. We use real butter and make it from scratch—from mixing the pastry dough to preparing the pumpkin filling.

Ready-made pastry would save us time, but we love taking the longer way: bringing together a buttery, crisp crust and a smooth pumpkin filling, one handmade tart at a time.

We’re happy to share something we’ve made with care, and hope it becomes a small, warm part of your Thanksgiving table.

Tonight’s Dinner: Baby Matsutake & Spanish Pork Rib Soup 🍂

Today, we brought in beautiful baby matsutake mushrooms from Vancouver—delicate, fragrant, and full of savoury flavour. Paired with our Spanish pork ribs, they make a comforting dinner for a cool autumn evening.

For a simple soup, briefly blanch the ribs, drain, and place in a pot with fresh water and a few slices of ginger. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer gently until the pork is tender. Add the cleaned baby matsutake and simmer for another 10–15 minutes, until the mushrooms are cooked through. Finish with salt to taste and serve with steamed rice.

Keep the seasoning light and let these lovely ingredients shine. A warm pot to share, and a little taste of autumn at your table.

Every vegetable begins as a life—from the moment a seed touches the soil.

It grows under the sun and rain, is picked by a farmer’s hand, and travels all the way to our shop. We set it down gently, brush off the soil, trim the leaves, and let it stand clean and neat on the shelf. Even the ones that come from other farms—we treat them the same. Because I know, in the end, it will enter your kitchen and become a part of you.

The way we treat vegetables is the way we treat life—with care, with tenderness, with respect.

🍂 Our Pumpkin Gallery 🎃

On my day off, I found myself back at the market, creating a little Pumpkin Gallery with all the beautiful varieties of squash and pumpkins.

Each one has its own colour, shape, and texture—like a small work of art made by fall itself. Displaying them on our wall is our way of welcoming the season and celebrating the beauty of the harvest.

May this little wall of fall bring warmth and joy to everyone who walks through our doors.
