It’s market day!
Weare at the Kelowna Farmers Market today and it is a beautiful day to get out and support local vendors. There are an abundance of fresh flowers and produce and coffee and well, you name it, It’s here.
With this gorgeous weather, there’s no doubt you are barbecuing this weekend. If you are, you want to have one of our Umami Crave the Fifth Power Mixes because they are easy to prepare (cook like rice), delicious and go perfectly with whatever you’re taking off of the grill!

Continuing on with our May “Salad Bar Stars” today we are focussing on adding the final touch to your salad - the dressing!🥗

Recommended salad dressings range from healthy vinaigrettes (balsamic, lemon, tahini) to creamy classics (ranch, Caesar, blue cheese) and sweet options (honey mustard). These enhance salads with healthy fats and flavors, often using olive oil, vinegar, or yogurt bases.

Today we are participating in the 2nd annual Tee Off to Drive Out Hunger Golf Tournament in support of the Lake Country Food Association Society in partnership with . Shot gun start was at 1130 but participants kicked off the event with complimentary Caesars that were truly Okanagan made: Caesar mix provided by , our very own gluten free and plant based Worcestershire sauce and garnishes provided by .
National Caesar Month is almost over but you can enjoy the Okanagan Caesar all year long.

Our new UMAMI Crave the Fifth Mushroom & Leek Homestyle Soup Mix is full of good for you grains including lentils, quinoa and basmati rice AND it offers 11 g of plant based protein per serving.
Want a little extra protein? We love adding cooked sausage. Our favorite is Black Truffle sausage from Kelowna’s very own Italian Meat Master. We take it out of the casing and cook it (you won’t believe how lean it is) and add it to the soup once it’s cooked. An amazing meal that in the unlikely event you have leftovers, can also be frozen!
