Over the weekend, we celebrated the retirement of someone whose story is deeply intertwined with the history of this property—Heidy Sterling! ❤️

Long before Tantalus was established, Heidy was part of the original Dulik family operation, making her one of the few people who has witnessed nearly every chapter of our evolution. Through decades of change, growth, challenges, and successes, Heidy has remained a constant.

While her official title was Accountant, Heidy has truly worn countless hats and supported every corner of our business. From meeting with government officials and trade connections on our behalf, to hopping on the bottling line or harvesting ice wine, her contributions have helped shape the winery we are today.

More than her years of service, it is Heidy’s loyalty and kindness to the people around her that will leave a lasting mark. She has been a mentor, trusted teammate, and a dear friend to many of us here.

As she begins her next chapter of hiking adventures, tennis matches, extra-long bike cruises, and most importantly, spoiling her grand babies, we want to thank Heidy for everything she has given to Tantalus and the people who have had the privilege of working alongside her.

Please join us in wishing her a very happy and well-deserved retirement. Congratulations, Heidy—we’ll see you at Sarsons for a dip and a glass of Rosé soon! 🥂 ☺️

If you’ve been following along for a while, you’ll know about our long-standing partnership with Lisa and the crew at Arlo’s Honey Farm. Tantalus has been home to Arlo’s hives for more than 15 years, and we’re so fortunate to have their hardworking bees contributing to the biodiversity of our vineyard.

We love finding ways to share their honey and story with our guests - and we encourage you to seek out their farm gate shop with plenty of extra goodies and single source honeys, just up the road from us at 2290 Saucier Rd. Tell Sandy and the gang we said hi’ 👋
