Every picture tells a story.

This looks so peaceful and I feel so pleased of the accomplishments that have led to this moment..

Such big goals have been achieved and yet, to the causal glance it’s just sheep in a feild.. but to me it means so much.

Kit successfully herded her flock through two pastures into this one without any chaos. We have been learning herding for 2 years, with the support of Nordika Stockdogs. We are still learning but celebrating our successes working as a team.

Over the past 3 years we’ve been battling w**d control, voles, coyotes digging up voles, heat and water.
Ian and I have worked on w**d control, without chemicals, yes hand pulling and we’ve top dressed it with hay’waste’ and watered responsibly, mainly at night to get moisture to soak in …..
And today the sheeps get to munch!!

A BIG thank you to everyone that came to see us and purchased Fresh Haskap Berries this season.

It was lovely to see you all, those Haskaps loving faithful followers and those discovering them for the first time.

It’s so nice to see you, to see your smiles as you enjoy your first handful of those yummy berries!

The bushes are all harvested, they can now concentrate on storing the nutrients in their dormant period before the season starts again next year.

Luckily we have portioned our crop so we have frozen berries still for sale while stocks last.

Big Thanks everyone for supporting our farm and buying local, so appreciate you all !

Out this evening trying to avoid the hot temperatures. We were working through the last but one row of Aurora Haskap Berries.

Don’t they look so pretty in the evening light, so good you could eat it!

Up early tomorrow to start the last row.

The harvest has started!

Those looking for the indigo Haskap berry, perfect for jams, smoothies and baking this is your berry and it’s ready to go!

The Aurora Haskap, that big juicy berry, best enjoyed chilled and fresh. We are anticipating beginning harvest this Thursday 11th/Friday 12th onwards..

Haskap season is just about here, the berries are growing beautifully and are now ripening in the Okanagan sunshine
