Tomato Sale this week!

Yes, prices keep dropping! Big drop again this week, and this will be the lowest they'll go! Romas are now listed at $35/20lbcs and Field ("Beefsteak") are at $40! These are excellent prices for high-quality, hand-harvested and selected, certified organic product. The quality is awesome!

We've also got bulk garlic listed at $14/lb, and an 8 oz order of jalapenos is on special for $3 (or you can order it as a 2* item) if you need any extras for your tomato projects!

When emergency services step back, the heavy work of rebuilding begins. Today, Lake Country Food Bank is launching ‘Cause We Can!’ — a community initiative uniting chefs, growers, and volunteers to pressure-can 5,000 jars of soups, stews, fruits, and vegetables for fire-impacted neighbours.

Tonight’s Penticton meetup filled the van with so many goodies!

Red Klapperton (StarCrimson) pears ~ Brown Schneider Farm
Black Amber plums ~ Nelson-Rouleau Tree Fruits (ok, I actually picked these up last week, but they’re so pretty!)

And Backyard Beans coffee - yay! They were able to go home yesterday, so we opened up coffee orders last night and had a great response! They filled our orders today and had it ready for me tonight!

So grateful that the highway is open once again between Peachland and Summerland! (Last week’s meetup in Rock Creek took an extra 2 hours!) But wow - it was hard to drive by all the blackened, smoldering hillsides. I saw a couple of mountain goats up in the hill close to where I usually see them. I’m hoping they’ll find their way to greener slopes!
