The core reasons to keep your beer refrigerated include:

🛑 Slows Down the Aging Process

Halts chemical reactions: According to flavor stability research, chemical reactions in beer double in speed with every 10°C (18°F) rise in temperature.

The 3-30-300 rule: Industry experts use this rule to track flavor loss. The same amount of flavor degradation occurs in:

3 days in a car trunk at 90°F (32°C).

30 days at a room temperature of 72°F (22°C).

300 days kept cold in a fridge at 38°F (3°C).

🍃 Preserves Fragile Hop Aromas

Protects hop oils: Hop-forward styles like India Pale Ales (IPAs) rely on delicate, volatile essential oils for their signature fruity and floral aromas.

Prevents rapid fading: Warm storage causes these aromatic oils to break down quickly. A warm-stored IPA can lose its fresh taste in just a couple of weeks, making it taste months older than it actually is.

🛡️ Prevents Severe Oxidation (Off-Flavors)

Blocks stale notes: When beer is exposed to warmth, trapped oxygen reacts aggressively with the liquid.

Stops the "cardboard" taste: This oxidation quickly destroys the beer's crisp profile, leaving behind a flat, sweet, stale taste often described as wet cardboard or paper.

🧫 Controls Residual Yeast and Bacteria

Inhibits spoilage: Cold temperatures put any leftover yeast or microscopic spoilage bacteria into a state of dormancy.

Prevents souring: If left warm, these microorganisms can wake up, consume remaining sugars, and create unappealing sour or buttery off-flavors. It can also over-carbonate the liquid, causing the beer to erupt with foam when opened.

Our craft beer is always refrigerated.🍻🧊
