Recent CBC news from Quebec regarding maple syrup on grocery shelves containing 50% cane sugar reminds Ontario maple product consumers to understand the source of their purchase.

Maple syrup products offered for sale by members of the Ontario Maple Syrup Producers' Association (OMSPA) are crafted with tradition, care and due diligence from tree to table. Any products labelled with the "Sweet Ontario" label contain only 100% pure Ontario maple syrup.

OMSPA promotes the highest standards of education, stewardship and production processes within our membership and advocates on behalf of those members to foster a confident connection between our producers and consumers.

We encourage our consumers to check containers for the Sweet Ontario logo, the OMSPA logo, the producer's information and a Lot/Batch code.

Unfortunately I haven’t been posting much since I’ve been laid up due to a herniated disc.

With maple season quickly approaching I’m working on the things that I can manage. That’s one pump out of 4 serviced and sanitized.
