Every spring, farmers across PEI head back into the fields to plant a new crop that will provide top quality food and drive our local economy – but what is not discussed is the toll farming can take.

To coincide with our local planting season, as well as Mental Health Week in Canada, the province is officially proclaiming May 5 as Mental Health in Agriculture Day.

From all of us at Monaghan Farms, we wanted to send out a big thank you to everyone who came out to the Fill Your Boots Campaign in aid of local PEI Food Banks. Through your generous donations, we were able to raise $495.25 at our location, which we will match, bringing the total monetary donation to $990.50, plus all of the non perishable food items people donated!
