I'm closing the book on my time in Kaleden, so these four wines are the 'final chapter'. I very rarely discount wines as you know, but I'd like to start the next chapter fresh (and have less to transport to vineyards new!) so am offering them to you at 10% off in a four-pack, with reduced shipping.

'24 La Bise: This wine is bursting with baked ripe apples, pears, tea leaf, strawberry and shaved ginger, leading to a fruity mid palate and long juicy finish. We've called this our breakfast wine before, but I also think this could be a nice wine to enjoy on your patio.

'24 Syrah/Mouvèdre Rose: savoury, fruity and lean with red plums, candied red fruits and freshly picked herbs. If you ever tasted our Semi-carbonic Malbec Rosé and enjoyed it then this wine will rock your world.

'24 Mouvèdre: Blackberry, plum, violets with a lovely gamey/savoury note. This is a serious wine with richness and texture.

'24 Petit Sirah (Durif) If you like our William Dean Syrah, you're gonna love this wine, it's beautifully balanced and has ripe aromatics of blueberry, chocolate, plums and black pepper.

I'll share my news (and it's big!) next month. I'm excited for what lies ahead: it's good news and it means I will be able to keep making the kind of wines I love. I'm really looking forward to seeing lots of you this summer too.

I'll have news for you on The List for 2026 soon, but I can tell you that it will be x2 shipments of six wines in April and August and these won't be available to the general public.

Harvest 2025 shaped up to be one of the best vintages since 2022. The vines rebounded and fruit was in abundance with ittle to no risk for smoke taint.

Our first pick was September 7 with our Ashlyn Pinot Noir; this was a first, so my estimation is we were about 10 days ahead from previous vintages. As soon as we hit October 1st we were picking almost every second or third day and our last pick was October 24 which was Cabernet Franc.

It was a great feeling to get back to somewhat of a normal vintage and make some really fantastic wine and I’m excited to share them—and my other big news—with you soon.

Some hard news from us today so hopefully next time you’re running low, you can hop over to our online store to buy a few bottles!

I’ve been waiting for the right time to give you all an update about our home vineyard for the upcoming season. Sadly, we will harvest zero fruit from the 6.5 acres planted here in Kaleden because of the winter damage suffered in January this year.

We were hopeful prior to bud break, but the reality is that only tertiary buds survived which are non-fruit bearing as you can see in the photos. What this means is tough: we will not have a 2024 vintage, and we will have to see what the future holds for us.

Our tasting room is closed for this year, but we do still have wine in the cellar to sell, and it would be amazing if you could buy it! We have some special four-and six-packs online with a free shipping offer. Buy two or more packs and receive free shipping with 'DoubleUp' coupon.

We’re opening the List up for 2024, and we just have nine spots left. We’re doing things a little differently this season with extra discounts, fewer shipments and exclusive List-only wines.

Last year was a very tough harvest with around 60% loss so instead of the 2000 cases we’d hoped to make, we made 545. But the good news is the quality is dynamite! What this means is that we will only send out ONE shipment this year, a full case in May of x2 each of: 2022 Syrah, 2022 Pinot Noir, 2023 Estate Pinot Gris, 2023 Amphora Ehrenfelser/Muscat skin ferment, 2023 Estate Field Blend of Merlot/Cab Franc, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, and 2023 Trois. Including tax & deposits, that $377.

The only way you’ll be able to buy the Amphora Ehrenfelser and the Field Blend is if you’re on The List.

We looked at where most of our members are and based on that, we’re going to do a pick-up day/evening in Vancouver and Victoria. I really hope you can come see us and join us for a tasting, but of course, if you can’t we’ll send the wine to you.

In the tasting room this year, Anthony will be doing tastings by appointment only in July. List members can come and see us then and enjoy 15% discount in the tasting room, but we know that a lot of you can’t come to see us, so we also wanted to offer everyone on The List a 10% discount on all cases with free shipping if you order online.

2022 FUBAR Fruitier than the previous two vintages, but it’s the same concept: everything destemmed, a small portion was done semi-carbonic, open top fermenters, and pressed off into a combo of neutral and new French barrels, amphora, and concrete. It’s fresh, fruity, food-friendly, it’s FUBAR!
39% Pinot Noir, 36% Gamay, 15% Syrah, 6% Merlot, 4% Sauvignon Blanc.

2022 SNAFU Intensely aromatic and soft on the palate, I’d serve this a little chilled—but not cold—as I think you’ll lose some of the nuances if it’s chilled too much. I’d want this with pork and chive dumplings, a charcuterie board, sushi—Thai food would be delicious with this!

2022 FOMO Brand new this year, we wanted to make another red wine that sits within the SNAFU and FUBAR family. These blends are little more obscure! The Gamay was semi-carbonic, and the Syrah direct pressed into stainless steel, no oak at all. It’s lean and interesting! So aromatic and about as funky as I ever want to get with a wine; I love it. Take it to a party and brown bag it, you’ll blow people’s minds!

Hand-harvested last September from our Kaleden estate vineyard, this gorgeous 100% Chardonnay 2022 Wild Ancestrale sparker spent 7.5 months on the lees and was disgorged just a few weeks ago.
