Our door is open.

This summer, our region came together in ways that reminded us what the Similkameen is all about - opening our doors, sharing what we have, and looking out for one another.

A summer that reminded us just how much community means.

Our door is open to welcome you, and we’re as ready as ever to share a little piece of the valley with you.

Slow down in the courtyard, enjoy a guided tasting, and experience the beauty of the region for yourself.

There’s still so much to discover here. And there’s always a place at our table.

Come raise a glass with us. 🥂

Last year’s beautiful celebration at Orofino continues to make waves, with the wedding now featured by Vogue Germany.

While the spotlight shines on the incredible couple and talented creative team, we’re honoured to see Orofino recognized as the backdrop for a celebration that continues to inspire others.

It’s always a privilege to host such heartfelt gatherings in our little corner of the Similkameen.

Thank you to everyone who brought this unforgettable day to life.

Together we can do more.

Through tasting fees at the winery and a recent silent auction, we’ve already raised over $1,000 for wildfire relief - and we’d love to do even more.

Available online only we’ve put together a special 6-pack of Roussanne & Marsanne, and for every pack sold, Orofino will donate $30 to the Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen Wildfire Response Fund.

Plus if you build it into a 12-bottle case:
-> BC: FREE shipping
-> All other provinces & territories: $25 off shipping

The shipping offer runs until Sunday, August 23, but every 6-pack sold continues to raise funds beyond that date.

These are wines we’re proud to share - and a small way for all of us to show up for our friends and neighbours.

Raise a glass. Raise some funds.

Shop the wildfire relief 6-pack through the link in our bio.

The ribs are back!

Our first night of asado-grilled BBQ ribs was such a hit, we couldn’t resist doing it all over again. Slow-cooked and ready for round two.

The Thursday Table pop-up returns this Thursday, August 20 from 3-7 PM. Come hungry - we can’t wait to share these with you again!

A little schedule update for the weeks ahead:

August 27 - No event
September 3 - No event
September 10 - We’re back!
September 17 - Last one for the season.

See you Thursday!

Some wines ask you to slow down and pay attention.

Others seem to whisper “Just enjoy the moment - don’t overthink it”

Our Gamay has always been a little bit of both.

The 2025 vintage brought together fruit from two
Similkameen Valley vineyards - our Home Vineyard on the Cawston Bench and the Johal Vineyard, just down the road from the winery. Different sites, different soils, but the same goal: to let the character of the fruit shine.
In the cellar, we kept things gentle and natural. Whole berries, ambient yeast, open-top fermenters and daily punchdowns slowly coaxed out the wine’s character before it was aged in older French barrels and concrete tanks. No fining. No filtration.

The result is exactly what we love about Gamay: light, bright, juicy and incredibly easy to enjoy. Cranberry, red peppercorn and fresh herbs, with a little bit of texture and just enough structure to keep you coming back.

It’s a wine we like to drink slightly chilled, preferably with good food, good friends and no particular reason to rush.

Wine doesn’t need to be complicated.

Sometimes, the best ones are simply the wines you reach for just because.

Thank you to our team, our growers, and everyone who opens an Orofino bottle and shares it with the people around them.

Cheers to a great season so far.

These are moments that remind you why we gather around a table.

Earlier this week, we had the pleasure of bringing together an incredible group for our Restaurant Kavita × Food of the Sun collaboration with Orofino - an evening that was both elegant and wonderfully laid-back. The company, the food, the team, the wine… every detail felt just right.

And at a time when our neighbouring communities are facing so much uncertainty, coming together felt especially meaningful. Sharing a meal, connecting with one another, and simply being present is a reminder that while things can change quickly, these moments of community are worth recognizing.

Our guests also showed up with generosity. Through a silent auction, we raised $500 for local emergency services, with two very special magnums going home with the winning bidders:

* 2009 Passion Pit Cabernet Sauvignon
* 2009 Red Bridge Merlot

Thank you to everyone who joined us, bid generously, shared stories, raised a glass and made the evening what it was.

Good food. Good wine. Good people.

Community.

That’s why we gather.

Some wines are made to follow tradition.

Others are made because curiosity leads you somewhere unexpected.

Semi Carbo MF has been one of those wines.

Winemaking is a craft, but that doesn’t mean it has to follow the rules. There’s always room to experiment.

This wine is the result of that curiosity - a playful expression of carbonic-inspired winemaking that’s bright, energetic and full of personality.

We created this style of Foch to show a different side of the grape: lighter on its feet, full of energy and never taking itself too seriously. Joyfully unpretentious - a wine made for gathering friends, passing around the table and sharing stories.

So this one receiving a Silver Medal at the All Canadian Wine Championships feels especially meaningful.

It’s recognition that the ideas we’re inspired to explore - and the wines we genuinely love to enjoy - are resonating with others too.

For that, we’re incredibly thankful.

A small change to this week’s Thursday Table.

In response to the current situation affecting our surrounding communities, the decision has been made to cancel this week’s pop up food night on August 13.

We’re hopeful that conditions will improve and we’ll be back around the table next Thursday, August 20.

In the meantime, please stay safe and take care of one another. Our deepest sympathies are with those who have been affected, and our immense gratitude goes to the emergency crews working to keep our communities safe.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
