The first few weeks of a puppy’s life are so much more important than many people realize. 🐾
Before their eyes are even open, puppies are already learning about the world around them.
During this phase, certain exercises can help encourage adaptability, confidence, and resilience when faced with stress later in life. One such tool is Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of brief activities introduced from day 3 of life.
It’s fascinating how simple practices such as gently tickling between their toes, briefly changing their position, or introducing small, controlled sensations like a cool surface can help lay the foundation for how adult dogs respond to the world around them.
ENS is just one small piece of raising well-rounded dogs. The environment puppies grow up in, the care they receive, the experiences they’re introduced to, and the time and thought put into their early weeks all play a role in shaping the dogs they become.
