Vahana Goats

Vahana Goats Vahana Nature Rehabilitation is: invasive plant control, fire fuel management and soil building using shepherds and target browsing with goats.

Using target browsing goats, Vahana Nature Rehabilitation is part of a new wave coming into Canada's Invasive Plant Control Industry. We provide the missing tool for Canada's Integrated Pest Management Toolbox. Hand-pulling and bio-control are our only non-chemical tools, and both are a bit slow. Hand pulling is hard labour and takes time therefore is expensive, and bio-control insects are effecti

ve, but they are not fast enough to keep up with the fast spreading weeds. Target browsing goats is complimentary to both of these methods and will help the industry gain an upper hand on the invasive plants taking over our lands as forestry and recreation expand into new territories.

Healthy soil doesn’t act like a bucket.
