Using holistic management practices we rotationally-graze our sheep flock to improve the soil quality on our pastures and our growing cider orchard. The Sweet Sheep Company is an ecological farm near Kingston, Ontario that focuses on regenerative practices. Our sheep are grass fed year-round using rotational grazing from spring to late fall, and bale grazing in the winter. We're proud to be a source for local free-range turkeys, pasture-raised lamb, and Canadian wool in Eastern Ontario.

2026 Lambing Season Part Two has begun!

Because Finnsheep have an extended breeding season, we decided to breed our Finn ewes at the start of April this year instead of breeding them in December.

The first of their lambs was born this morning on pasture, right on schedule! Isn't she precious? 🥰

This is our first time trying to tap into that extended breeding season and it worked naturally, without additional hormones or light augmentation.

We're pretty stoked to see this trait in action.

Fruits on the fruit trees?!?!?! “Winnals Longdon” perry pear, “Maxine” pear, “Seckel” pear, “Kerr” applecrab fits right in your palm, so does Hewe’s (a.k.a. Virginia) crab.
Nobody else is that interested in how sharp Hewe’s crab tastes!
Barry and Buster actually sat down for the picture! Only took 5 minutes for them to chill out.

Shady Creek Lamb our ewes have heard the good news about thistle palatability. Maybe this is like the sheep version of hot sauce showdowns? Buffalo thistles are next?
