Update about the Wolfe Island market start date:

I spoke to one or two people last weekend about Sweet Jane’s being at the market at the Wolfe Island Commons this spring/summer.

We still plan to be there. However, please note that there has been a change and the market will NOT be starting this coming Saturday.

I will post an update when we receive news about the new official start date and the confirmed dates for when Sweet Jane’s will be attending.

Hello everyone! We are pleased to announce that we will be at Wolfe Island's Holiday Village Maker's Market again this year.

Date: November 30th
Time: 10am-3pm
Location: St. Margaret's Hall, 1127 County Rd 96
Cost of admission: Free! You will only pay for the items you buy 🙂

Sweet Jane's will be selling handmade/local:
-partially creamed honey from fall 2024 (400 g jars and one 2.9 kg tub--We thought the tubs were sold out, but we recently located an extra one.)
-liquid honey from fall 2025 (500 g jars, 1 kg jars, 2.9 kg tubs)
-beeswax lip balm
-beeswax moisturizing salve (skin moisturizer)
-whipped tallow balm (skin moisturizer)
-wood balm (made with beeswax and food grade mineral oil, used for wooden items such as cutting boards, coasters, spoons, etc.)
-wooden coasters

Payment information: CASH is preferred, but we also accept DEBIT (tap only) and E-TRANSFER. We do NOT accept credit cards.

Last year there were a lot of nice handmade items and tasty treats to buy at the market, so come check it out if you can! We hope to see you there!

Hello, everyone!

Sweet Jane's is pleased to announce that we will be at the Wolfe Island Market again this year. We sell local honey, beeswax products such as lip balm, and other assorted homemade items.

The market is open on Saturdays from 09:00-12:30 at the Wolfe Island Commons across from the hotel. Our confirmed market dates are:

-May 24
-June 7
-June 21
-July 5
-July 19
-August 2
-August 16
-August 30
-September 27
-October 11

If we sign up for other dates, we will post an update on this page.

NOTE ABOUT PAYMENTS: We only accept CASH or E-TRANSFER. (We cannot take cards!!) If possible, please bring some cash with you to the market. This makes payments a lot easier! 🙂

If you can't make it to the market, you can still order our products online via our Google Form or by messaging this page (if you have trouble with the form). Someone will get in touch with you to set up a pick-up time and confirm your method of payment.

If you’re interested in buying homemade honey, lip balm, or quilted crafts for this holiday season, Sweet Jane’s honey and crafts will be available to pick up in Whitby from approximately this December 14-30. Fill out an order form or message us before December 11 so we know how much we need to bring from Wolfe Island.

We are excited to announce that we will be taking part in the Wolfe Island Maker's Market on December 1st!

Products: creamed and liquid honey (multiple sizes), beeswax lip balm, and quilted items such as placemats, hot pads, and possibly doll/mini quilts (craft items are always subject to change)

Update: Liquid honey is now available!

This weekend we spun our honey frames and filled our jars and tubs with liquid honey. Our order form has been updated to reflect this.

We are now selling:

Creamed Honey (last year's honey)
-Small, medium, and large jars
-One 2.9kg tub

Lip Balm (made from last year's beeswax)

Liquid Honey (this year's honey)
-Medium jars
-One 2.9kg tub

**Please note that as our liquid honey ages, it hardens to become creamed honey. It could take several months for this to happen, but when it does, it will still be safe to eat. Because of the low moisture content of our honey, it shouldn't go bad/ferment.**

Welcome to Sweet Jane's!

Sweet Jane’s is a small honey business located on Wolfe Island, owned and operated by beekeeper Jenny. The bees live on the island and create honey from the plants in the surrounding farmers’ fields.

In addition to honey, we sell beeswax lip balm and crafts such as quilted placemats. Follow our page to receive updates about which products we’re currently selling.
