Baumann Holsteins

Baumann Holsteins basic information about the farm We are located in south east Saskatchewan, near the town of Kipling. Currently we milk 70 cows in a tie stall.

The dairy farm is run by brothers, Emanuel, Simon and families. There is also a bedding pack with two pens, one for overflow and the other side being used as a maternity pen. Land base is approximately 640 acres. We produce all of their roughage as well as some of their grains with the rest of the needs being purchased. Current classification stands at 10 Ex, 40 VG, 28 GP
All the young stock is ra

ised and calved out on the farm, every year we sell 8-12 fresh heifers to fellow dairymen plus 2-3 breeding bulls. We also carry out a number of ET flushes a year with a strong focus on type and longevity while keeping a close watch on production. We are firm believers in networking with the industry, by supporting local and away competitive shows by competing in at least 6 shows/year. As well Simon is the Vice President of the Saskatchewan Holstein Branch.
