Every shade of pollen returning to the hive tells a story.

From golden yellows to deep oranges and soft creams, each colour is a reflection of the rich biodiversity surrounding our apiaries. Bees forage across countless blooms, carrying back a living snapshot of the ecosystem that sustains them.

Healthy bees begin with a healthy environment, and every pollen grain is proof that nature is thriving here.

You’ve never tasted pollen like this.

Installing our pollen collectors marks the beginning of one of the most exciting times of the season.

Across 160 acres of Ontario wilderness, our bees are foraging freely through dense forest and wild landscapes, moving between wildflowers and towering trees, gathering pollen at its purest. Every colour tells a story of what’s in bloom, every granule a reflection of the land.

In the coming weeks, our fresh pollen will be back in stock. Straight from the wilderness, exactly as the bees intended.

Not every sting is aggression. Sometimes it’s protection.

This worker gave everything to defend her hive, her sisters, and the future of the colony. It’s a powerful reminder that every interaction we have with our bees matters.

As beekeepers, we don’t want our hives to sting. Not for our sake, and not for theirs. A sting is a loss of life.

That’s why we intentionally select for calmer, gentler genetics in our yards. It allows us to work with the bees, not against them. Less stress, fewer defensive responses, and ultimately… fewer bees lost in the process.

Because good beekeeping isn’t just about what we harvest. It’s about how we show up for them.

These final oxalic acid treatments are part of the ongoing fight against varroa mites, a threat that can quietly bring down an entire colony if left unchecked. It’s one of the most important things we do to protect the future of the hive.

It’s also not without risk. The vapours demand respect, and every application requires proper PPE and precision. This is hands-on stewardship at its most real.

Because beekeeping isn’t just harvesting honey. It’s showing up, doing the hard work, and safeguarding something much bigger than ourselves.

Winter tested them. Spring proves them.

Every single colony made it through. 100% survival going into Arthur’s third season with us, and the hives are already bursting with life. You can feel the momentum in the air. Bees pouring in, pollen loading up, the whole yard waking up at once.

This is what careful stewardship looks like. Strong, resilient colonies coming out of winter and hitting the ground flying.

We’ll be sharing more from this yard all season if you want to follow along.

This isn’t AI.
Just real honeycomb being cut, squeezed, and slowly dripping.

Every frame is real. Every drop comes straight from our hives.
Nothing generated. Just real honey. 🍯
