The Family Affair heifers wrapped up Spring show season on a high note bringing home Res Simmental Heifer for Luke Brundige with this former Lot 1 heifer. It was great to watch Luke not only do a great job with this female, but also develop his clipping and fitting skills through the Kirk Stierwalt clinic.

The Rhythm cows have become a cornerstone at Highwood, and 024H has always been deemed the "most beautiful cow" in the herd by many. She was our pick of the heifer calves from Ruby's in Iowa as a heifer calf, and never got to see the showring due to Covid. As a 5 yr old cow, she made her debut this year, and we will continue to build heavily around this female and her daughters in the future.

As we continue through the fall, it's time to share a few others from the herd that got to be a part of the show team this fall. HW/WRS Fantasia 10M returned to the ring this year and we still feel her best days are ahead as a cow. We anxiously await her heifer calf by Lover Boy this spring, and feel she will move into her mother's footsteps in the donor pen.

As the Family Affair - Chapter I comes to a close, we cannot say thank you enough for all of the calls, visits, and interest shown in this set of cattle. We are excited to work with some great families over the next year as these heifers will travel to their new homes from Alberta to Nova Scotia.
