Spring is in the air. We have 9 automatic water drinkers here on the Hill. We ordered a few of these to test them out, we tie a brush next to each drinker. They are supposed to be toilet brushes. What do you think...??? We will order more, if they are durable.

New Transmission Line being installed over the Hill. The crews are all very nice and respectful. They expressed concerns for our horses, Lee and P*k were not worried. Mary acted like the Armageddon was definitely here. Poor girl. She hid out on the upper deck, under a table. Zelda and Rex were so happy.

❄️ He Didn’t Give Up. Neither Did They. ❄️
Seven Months Lost. One Miracle Rescue.

For more than seven long months, the Wyoming mountains kept a secret.

Deep in the brutal cold of the Wind River Range, where snow piles six to seven feet high and silence stretches for miles, a lone horse named Mouse was fighting to survive.

He vanished in July 2025 during a backcountry trip near Moon Lake. Searches followed. Hope faded. Seasons changed.
But somewhere out there, Mouse endured.

Then, on January 18, a snowmobiler spotted him. Standing in deep snow. Thin. Exhausted. Alive.
GPS coordinates were marked. Hope came rushing back.

Volunteers returned again and again, bringing food, watching over him, planning the impossible. Walking wasn’t an option. The snow was too deep. The terrain too unforgiving.

So they did something extraordinary.

Using snowmobiles, a snowcat, and a whitewater raft, they carried out what they called a “one-horse open sleigh.”
Mouse stepped into the raft. Calm. Trusting. Too tired to fight anymore.
He lay down as he was gently pulled across the frozen wilderness toward home.

By mid-afternoon, the mountains released him.

When Mouse was reunited with his owners, there were tears. Relief. Gratitude. A silence that said everything words could not.

Against all odds, Mouse survived seven months alone in one of the harshest landscapes imaginable.
This rescue is a reminder that hope should never be abandoned.
Lost does not mean gone. ❤️
