International Women's Day is feeling a heck of a lot different this year with baby Miller in the Harrison Hill herd.

Raising a woman who will shine brightly, not allowing those who do not see her value to diminish the fire she has inside.

Raising men who will unequivocally stand with women and for women in the fight for equality.

I know you’ve felt/seen our shift on here. So maybe you would like a further explanation. A few weeks ago in our email newsletter, I shared my why.

Today I share it with you.

Our baby girl was born in the wee hours of August in our home with the incredible
it was in the beautiful sun-kissed days after she was born that a strong sense of purpose washed over me
it had been building
from the moment we found out she was coming
i began to ask myself am i ready to raise a woman in this world
do i have the right parts of myself to in part onto her
am i who i want to be + the person i want her to see
the answer was that i wasn’t exactly sure

so instead of collecting the onesies, blankets + toys
i began unpacking a collection of my conscious + unconscious
what are the lies i’ve been telling myself
would i want her to do the same
who do i want to be for me + in doing so who will i be for her
+ i found it
i already was

i will be
an example of unrestrained womanhood
the girls-girl she will need + one that i need too
choosing to step into the power that already exists within me
no longer stay idly by
share my opinions often + as loudly as needed
ruffle some feathers
maybe even annoy

she was already there
she’s been there all along
the person who will one day look my daughter in the eye + tell her she is capable of anything
because i am too
+ when you stop to think about it so are you

To all of you who have taken the time to reach out with your support in what we're doing, it means so much. If you are unsure of how to approach this Era of me, I want you to know you should not think twice. I am open to respectfully discussing any issues.

To those of you, who have sent me political memes, reels and posts. I love it. Keep it coming.

We will continue to stand up for what's right.
We will fight for our children and yours.

Thank you for sticking by us as we continue to grow in everything we do.
