While we are on our break, we are bringing in our harvests at the Otonabee Dingo Farm. We have just pickled very special Sweety Drops for Christmas boards in December! It takes 6 plants to make 1 jar. They are also special as the brine is 50% spiced rum!

The last long weekend of summer is here, and it looks like a great weekend! Come on in if we can help you with cheese and charcuterie, we've just stocked up on everything, especially those soft cheeses that you and your guests LOVE!! The greatest asset to any business is having amazing employees. Today we celebrate our Rylie, on her last day with us before returning to University. We have had the pleasure of watching her grow up in our shop over the last 4 years, seeing her learn basic tasks and take on new challenges, all while planning her future! We are so lucky to have this smart, spunky young lady! We are incredibly proud of the woman she has become and will miss her so much! Hopefully, we will have her back at Christmas!

When is the right time to start planning a special event and making inquiries for catering? For larger events (75 people or more), caterers may be booked a year out, for medium size (40-75) a couple of months should secure your date. We also do smaller charcuterie boards which work very well for a casual and elegant food offering for groups up to 30 people and we always appreciate a week's notice. But only a day or two for our small "family" boards (Up to 15 items). Whatever your event, come on in to taste some cheese and we'll make sure the rest falls into place!

Are you ready for this?? We are THRILLED to announce the
5th ANNUAL WAG'O'WEEN LAKEFIELD on October 17th!!
For 5 years now, we've been bringing paws to the pavement in Lakefield to support Lakefield Animal Welfare Society! Last year was a banner year with over 400 paws on the ground, and coverage on CP24 as the village businesses ran specials and fundraisers for LAWS! We will be back with our BARKUTERIE BOARD raffle courtesy of Village Pet Food & Supply. Look for those LAWS "Fun-raisers" along your route and remember the businesses go from Village Pet Supply through to Village Pharmacy in addition to downtown shops and restaurants! At 14 years old, Tanya got her first job in the kitchen of a Greek restaurant, and soon after at an Italian restaurant, making pizza and pasta. This has always been an area of passion that The Cheesy Fromage- Lakefield has incorporated into our business for your kitchen. Even after 40 years, we never get tired of making our lasagna, stuffed shells, mac n cheese and more for you!
