It’s the final countdown for the 2026 PYO berry season! Monday will be our final day open for red raspberries, royal raspberries and black currants at our Buckhorn Berry Farm location, 3045 Berrie rd!

We’ll be here the next three days from 8-5 (last entry at 4:30) finding the best possible picking to ensure everyone’s freezers, fridges and bellies are full of the local flavours we have to offer!

And if you’re not up for picking - we have lots of awesome prepicked fruits and vegetables in both our farm stores all weekend long including the holiday Monday! Sweet corn, new potatoes, green and yellow beans, fruit from Niagara, berries - it’s the best eating time of year!

Oh hello, beautiful! The farm stores and farmers markets are officially even tastier with the very first of our own freshly picked sweet corn now ready! Grab the butter - it’s corn time!

Hip hip horray! Red raspberries AND royal (purple) raspberries are open today (July 22) for picking! Tons of red raspberries for PYO - and royal raspberries available until picked out depending on demand but those bushes are also loaded so it’s perfect picking time!

The bushes are loaded and PRIME raspberry picking is not now but RIGHT now! All PYO raspberries at our Buckhorn Berry Farm location, 3055 Berrie Rd! Open 8-8 weekdays and 8-5 weekends - last entry to PYO fields is 30 minutes before closing!

Beautiful blue skies, a nice cooler summer morning and a beautiful picking day! Open at our Buckhorn Berry Farm location (3055 Berrie Rd) from 8-5 (last entry at 4:30) today for red raspberries, royal raspberries (until picked out which will likely happen early this morning - smaller crop of those so PYO harvests are on and off!), black currants and beans - as well as the FINAL day for PYO strawberries for the 2026 season! Happy picking!

Oh hello blue skies! So nice to see you - and nice to see black currant PYO too! Some other PYO updates below!

Buckhorn Berry Farm: (3055 Berrie Rd)

PYO Strawberries - last call! Sunday July 19 will be our final day for PYO strawberries so if you haven’t made it out yet or just need a few more - this is your last chance for 2026! We’re harvesting in a late season variety now but even then is getting slow and more difficult so you have to be selective but there are still berries there - just more work than a month ago when we opened PYO on June 19th!

PYO Raspberries: Good picking available! In the peak of the season so recommend coming ASAP for the best picking conditions!

PYO Black currants: bushes are plentiful with easy picking!

PYO Beans: back for the first time in a few years and though the field has some weeds that are trying to take over in it there are nice beans available to PYO

PYO peas: sadly came to a quick end with the heat and dry weather - we’re hoping to plant some more for prepicked available this fall in the cooler weather but PYO for peas is finished for the season now

McLean Berry Farm: (2191 16th Line)

PYO strawberries is also in its last couple of days and we are letting folks walk out to the field and letting them know the best areas but letting people find anything they can to harvest! Once strawberries are done that will be all of the PYO this farm had to offer this year.

Prepicked strawberries, raspberries, beans and lots more available in our farm stores now - with more amazing crops ripening all the time - just working as fast as we can to keep up to harvesting all of the awesome crops filling the fields now!

All PYO today on Sunday July 12 will be at our Buckhorn Berry Farm location, 3055 Berrie Rd!

PYO raspberries everyone is doing well at the start of their season!

PYO strawberries are winding down as we’re into our 4th week of PYO so the picking is slower and you have to be more selective now. Our field guides are doing their best to find the best picking and strawberry PYO will remain open as long as people are still finding decent picking but will end sometime this week so don’t delay as how long in the season we’re able to stay open all depends on the crop and the sooner you come, the better the picking will be!
