3.5 year old spayed female Anatolian
Up to date on all vaccines, due 2027
Raised mainly with goats and calves; we sold our goats last Spring and she has not been able to transition to working with our Cheviot sheep, they are too flighty for her.
She hasn't been around horses or birds. She doesn't make the best decisions with barn cats, and will chase them if they run.
Maize adores kids and gets along very well with other dogs. She is crate trained, house trained, walks politely on leash, has been tether/tie out trained (for camping or target grazing), and rides well in a vehicle. She knows sit, stay, lay down, will recall and is food motivated. Our LGDs are part of our family, and I'm sad to see her go, but I know she would be a perfect fit for someone! We don't have kids and unfortunately she doesn't appreciate my dog boarding clients arriving throughout the day - loves the dogs, but the strange vehicles put her on high alert.
We have transitioned her from working exclusively with livestock to being an inside/outside family centric farm dog. We would love to see her find a family with an acreage or small farm that would appreciate her instincts, but would also like her to be a part of their family.
We are not in a rush to rehome her - we want to find the perfect fit!
