Today was the last day of the 2026 Blueberry season
Almost nothing left to pick so it ends today
We are closed Sunday August 16
It was a short season and almost a very small crop
It was the worst year I had in the past 6 years
Some challenges this year and many reasons
Bad pollination, very little honey bees and lots of rain in the spring especially during flowering stage
Winter was too mild and not cold so lots of pest pressure as not many pests died.
No proper dormancy for the Blueberry bushes
Frequent rain the July affected quality for fresh sales
Overall low yield for bc blueberries
Maybe next year will be better
