Erie James Limited is a third generation, family operated, greenhouse produce grower/marketer/shipper providing industry-acknowledged gold-standard service since 1940, with a long and vibrant history of helping local farmers market their products. Started as Erie Produce Ltd. in 1921, and later amalgamated with The Howard James Company in 1971, the pair merged and changed the company name to Erie

James Limited after employee Don Slater purchased the company with his business partner Tony Darowski. Today, Erie James Limited is completely owned and operated by brothers Mark and Jim Slater, the second generation of Slaters who maintain the company's reputation of quality, integrity and professionalism, and market over 100 acres of fresh, gourmet produce. Evolved now into a full service company, the Slaters have invested their years of knowledge and experience and utilize state of the art sorting and grading equipment, to market and distribute both greenhouse and field-grown produce to destinations across North America, and continue to seek out new export markets abroad.
