Very proud of my friend for standing up for herself and voicing her opinion about the result of this democratic process. Being elected to a council doesn’t allow you to bully or control what people post or shield you from criticism. If you don’t want people to disagree with you, don’t hold a public office. The reason behind the decision doesn’t matter - but trying to censor someone absolutely does. Brazeau County

I am utterly disappointed in Brazeau County Council today. I was not re-elected to the ALUS PAC, due to some sort of twisted low ball group effort by several County Councillors to bully my husband, who is a county councillor.

ALUS is a non profit, Canada wide organization built by farmers & ranchers, with environmental stewardship and riparian management at the top of their priorities. ALUS helps establish riparian and wildlife habitat on producers land, by helping fund materials needed for projects.

As most of you would agree, I am a STRONG advocate for all things environmental stewardship, riparian management, soil health, regenerative agricultural practices etc Everything I do, and our farm does, revolves around BMP's (better management practices).

To have been removed from this position, where I am an active, productive contributor and advocate, in favour of individuals that are not active producers and do not share the same understanding or passion for what ALUS is, is devastating.

This of course will not diminish my commitment to the cause, or affect my advocacy for ALUS in any way, shape or form. This has nothing to do with them what so ever. This post is entirely directed at the county councillors that think I will lay down while they bully my husband.

I’m not a mathematician ok? I’m doing the best I can here 😅

I have alternate options for housing my cattle so if this doesn’t work the way I want it too, it won’t be the end of the world. I plan to winter them on the hayfield and limit how much they are actually in the pen, but they will be in here sometimes so I want to prevent strays. This is the first winter I will be doing this solo and a few less ‘the cows are out’ calls would be great for my mental health.

I’d say I was sorry for my cow being in their yard, but their bulls have been in and out of my pastures all summer. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I hope the flowers were delicious.

Our first ranch riding show. Way outside of my comfort zone.

Wranglers first outing of this kind and he was pretty incredible. I don’t belong to the world of horse sales, but I think this is the type of horse people are looking for. People who want performance horses can make them. People who want a safe and trustworthy mount to ride on trails or around cows as recreational riders can’t and are looking for a horse exactly like this.

Wrangler is not for sale, but if I were to ever start another c**t I would want it to be a carbon copy of him. We weren’t perfect, but we had so much try and trust and that’s way more important to me. What are you looking for in your horses?
