✨ HARD-TO-FIND BREEDS & COLOURS
Many of the breeds we raise—and especially some of our unique colour varieties—are difficult to find locally, with relatively few breeders offering them. We’re excited to help more people enjoy these beautiful ducks while keeping heritage breeds and uncommon colours available for future generations!
🌿 SILVER APPLEYARD
Beautiful, substantial heritage ducks known for their calm nature, good foraging ability, and excellent egg production for a heavy breed. A wonderful dual-purpose option for eggs and meat!

🌼 BUFF ORPINGTON
Their warm buff colouring and generally gentle nature make them a lovely addition to a homestead. These versatile ducks offer a balance of egg production, meat qualities, and enjoyment.

💚 CAYUGA
Their black feathers shimmer with stunning iridescent green in the sunshine! Hardy and generally calm, Cayugas are raised for eggs, meat, and companionship. Some hens lay remarkably dark eggs early in the season, with shells becoming lighter as laying continues.

👑 EXHIBITION ROUEN
Big, beautiful ducks with deep bodies and an impressive presence! Especially valued for exhibition, traditional meat qualities, and their generally docile temperament. A lovely choice for those who appreciate magnificent birds rather than prioritizing high egg production.
🌱 Conservation status: Rouen—Non-Industrial is listed as Watch.
🏃 INDIAN RUNNERS
The busy little gardeners of the duck world! Their upright posture makes them unmistakable. Known for strong egg production and enthusiastic foraging, they help gobble up slugs, snails, and insects. These active ducks appreciate room to explore!
🌱 Conservation status: Recovering.
🩵 SILVER & BLUE MALLARDS
Beautiful colour varieties that bring something different to a waterfowl collection! Their distinctive colouring and lively Mallard character make them a special addition. These are colour varieties of Mallards, rather than separate endangered breeds.
🎨 MANDARINS
Like little works of art! The drakes’ spectacular breeding plumage makes them a favourite for ornamental waterfowl collections. These perching ducks naturally nest in tree cavities and benefit from a thoughtfully designed aviary with secure flight containment and suitable nesting spaces.
