Hey folks !

Today we are featuring some Austrian 🇦🇹 wines, and are excited to showcase a brand new release from one of our favourite Austrian winemakers, Franz Weninger !

-Weninger- "Weinland"
An exciting new addition, this wine is 100% Souvignier Gris, a relatively new (1983) cross that is hardy and fungus resistant. It shows with clear and clean character, citrus acidity, and a mineral salty structure. We are excited !

-Pittnauer- "Vom Dorf"
100% St. Laurent from Iron rich gravel soils, this variety belongs to the Pinot family of grapes. Highly aromatic, with lots of cherry flavour, but with a deeper richer feel, and earthy autumn leaf notes !

Hey folks!

We have a couple beautiful Canadian wines open for Free Friday Tasting today !

Benjamin Bridge Vineyards is located in the Gaspereau Valley in Nova Scotia, where they make a number of different expression from sparkling to sweet.

-Wild Rock- Red Blend
A smooth and inviting light bodied red blend with flavours of red cherries, fresh herbs and blackcurrent. Cabernet Franc and Marquette.

-Wild Rock- Rose Blend
And aromatic, bright, stone fruit forward rose blend with flavours of cherries, peaches, and white tea. Featuring Riesling and Muscat.

Hey folks !

Sure, its going to rain all weekend, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy some nice wines tonight on the deck !

We are tasting two Italian wines, both interesting and unique !

-Senza Rete- Ciliegiolo 🇮🇹
Super unique grape variety here, Ciliegiolo, is a minor component in traditional Chianti blends. It means "little cherry" in Italian, and makes amazingly fruity wines bright and juicy, and red fruit flavours. Tuscany's summer wine !

-Ciavolich- "Aries" Pecorino 🇮🇹
Our love affair with Pecorino (and this winery) continues ! Beautifuly savoury and aromatic, this exceptional Pecorino will turn lots of heads. Herbacious, saline, wild thyme, grapefruit and peach. A must try !

Today we will be featuring two NEW wines from France for our Free Friday Tasting !

-Maison Damiano- Cotes du Rhone 🇫🇷
From the southern Rhone Valley, a blend of Grenache and Mourvedre displays vibrant, fresh complexity. Blackberry, Raspberry, black currant.

-Domaine Labbé- Abymes 🇫🇷
This fantastic wine hails from the small and relatively unheard of alpine region called Savoie, featuring everyone's favourite grape, Jacquère! Cool climate, clean and fresh grassy, apples and pears. A rare treat !

As always, these wines will be open from 2:30 to 7:30 today ! Stop in and stock up before you head out of town !

Hey folks !

We are excited for the weekend! Weather is looking great, and more importantly, its Mothers Day !

We will be pouring THREE amazing wines today, new to the shop, that we found at Steel & Vines awesome Wine Fest last weekend ! These will be a sure hit !

-Maetierra- "Atlantis" Albarino 🇪🇸
From the Riax Baixas region of Spain, this carries high acidity, bright citrus and a saline finish. Green and flinty !

-Andreus Bender- "Der Rosé Secco" 🇩🇪
Mostly Pinot Noir, this lightly sparkling rose is a real treat ! Cassis and raspberries, mint and grapefruit. At 11.5% this is crisp and refreshing !

-Castell'in Villa- Chianti Classico 🇮🇹
From an ancient medieval village in Tuscany, this historic winery is still owned by an Italian Princess! Ultra classic, wild herbs, leather, bright berries. Exactly what Sangiovese should be !

Happy Saturday!

We hope you are free this afternoon between 2pm and 5pm, because Lisa Zinck from Boutique Imports will be here pouring some amazing wines !

Boutique Wine imports some of our favorite wines in the shop, and today Lisa is bringing some very special wines, most of which we haven't even tried yet !

This tasting is also 100% complementary, so its really a win-win situation for everyone!

Hey folks !

Today we are featuring two NEW wines, one from Austria and one from Hungary !

-Weingut Pittnauer- "Pitti" 🇦🇹
Primarily Zweigelt and Blaufrankisch, this is a juicy, vibrant and easy drinking red blend with notes of cherry and raspberry, and soft floral notes.

-Zsirai- "Tokaj Unmarked" 🇭🇺
This is mostly Furmint, for strength and acidity, with a little bit of Harslevelu blended for charm and fragrance. It is a dry wine, with interesting melon and lemon flavours and lots of mineral.

These wines will be open for your enjoyment from 2:30 until 7:30 today !

This "gorgeous" weekend weather is calling for two fresh yet cozy red wines !

C&P Breton - "Trinch!" - Cabernet Franc 🇫🇷
Vibrant and racy, with bright raspberry and cherry, purple florals, and herbaceous undertones. New 2024 vintage just landed !

Marta Valpiani - "La Farfalla" - Sangiovese 🇮🇹
Structured, red fruits, flowers, leather and to***co. Heck of a pizza night wine!

Both of these wines are biodynamic and naturally fermented, adding to complexity and nuances !

-Desquiciado- Malbec 🇦🇷
Savoury red plum, wild mushrooms, herbs and licorice. Uniquely different from most generic Malbecs !

-Glup!- Chenin Blanc 🇨🇱
Textured, citrus forward profile with lots of intensity from 5 months of lees (yeast) contact in the tank. Heck of a value wine !
