Hey folks !

Today we are featuring two wines from Italy 🇮🇹 ! One NEW and one old favourite !

-Bindi Sergardi- "Achille"
This NEW addition comes with a lot of hype ! 90% Sangiovese blended with complementary varieties, this has a fresh and clean fruit forward profile, yet remains very elegant. Red cherries, blackberries and herbs.

-Corte Giacobbe- "Ramato" Pinot Grigio
This has been a staple classic in the store for years ! A "Ramato" style Pinot Grigio, retaining some of the natural pink colour of the grape by leaving the juice in contact with the skins for about 12 hours. Fuller bodied than most Pinot Grigio, with rich peach and pineapple.

Hey folks,

Today we are doing a feature on Portugal 🇵🇹 for our FREE Friday Tasting ! Generally a region of very high quality per price point, these wines are sure to impress !

-Niepoort- "Dócil" - Vinho Verde
Always a good choice when you want something fresh and vibrant, Vinho Verde can be made with many grapes, but this one is 100% Loureiro. White floralss, green pear, crisp citrus with salty mineral backbone. Yum !

-Carlos Reynolds- Tinto
This exceptional wine is a blend of 4 different grapes, both traditional and international, of which Alicante Bouschet plays an important role. With surprising aromatic power, you'll find black plum, cherry, to***co and chocolate. Elegant yet powerful !

Hey folks !

Today we will be doing a little spotlight on Northern Italy ! This region is well known for classic wines like Barolo and Barbaresco, but it also produces other fantastic wines. Let's check it out ! 🇮🇹

(ALSO, we have a BEER tasting happening ! Carrie from Annex Brewing will be here pouring from 3pm until 6)

-Olim Bauda- Gavi di Gavi
A fantastic example of the grape Cortese, which should be a lot more popular ! Crisp acidity, delicate florals, and mineral driven citrus. Lively with a long finish, this is an excellent pairing with fish, risotto, or chicken.

-Dezzani- Otto Bucce
Otto Bucce means "eight skins" and true to name, this wine is a blend of 8 different grapes ! With a dense colour, you'll find blackberry, savoury spices, and herbs. Great structure !

Hey folks!

We are excited to feature some excellent biodynamic wines from Austria 🇦🇹 today !

-Sattlerhof- Sauvignon Blanc
This wine is from Southern Styria (Südsteiermark), a very beautiful region that produces surprising high quality wine. A nice departure from New Zealand, less grapefruit and more stony mineral and savoury length. Exceptional !

-Franz Weninger- "Ponzichter"
This enchanting blend primarily utilizes Pinot Noir and Zweigelt, and is 100% biodynamic in production. You will find bright vibrant flavours of cherry, wild strawberry, cranberry and wild herbs. Refreshing and lively !

We are super excited for this upcoming long weekend ! To celebrate we are doing a "Double Whammy" FREE tasting today, featuring two wines from France, and three beers from our pals at Establishment !

---WINES---

-Domaine du Beauregard- Bourgogne- Aligote 🇫🇷
Fresh, energetic and vibrant, Aligote is the "other" white grape from Burgundy, and generally delivers a leaner and lighter drinking experience than Chardonnay. Green apple and citrus, with some subtle florals.

-Cadet De La Bégude- 🇫🇷
The second label to Domaine de la Bégude, this is a traditional Mediterranean blend, influenced by Mourvedre, Grenache and Cinsault. Ripe black fruits and fragrant aromas, sustained by herbal aftertaste. Hot climate and full bodied expression for your BBQed meats !

---ESTABLISHMENT BEERS--- 🇨🇦

-Pilsgnar-
Somehow/sometimes forgotten amongst their other lineups, this beer is consistently incredible and true to style. If you need a reminder, here it is !

-Afternoon Delight-
The core classic Hazy Pale Ale from Establishment, and for good reason. Well balanced and ticks all the boxes.

-Sky Rocket-
One of our personal favourites from these folks. They actually used to do different editions of this beer years ago, but landed on this formula to stay.

Hey folks !

We have some awesome CanCon for this upcoming weekend before Canada Day 🇨🇦 !

-Haywire- "King Family Vineyard" Merlot
A single vineyard production wine from 40 year old vines in Summerland. Fresh vibrant character from a cooler climate, you can expect blackberries, boysenberry, cassis, plum and leather.

-Lake Breeze- "Cellar Series" Roussanne
Roussanne is primarily a Northern Rhone variety, but does quite well in BC on thr Naramata Bench. It has a complex mix of citrus, apricot and chamomile, and an herbacious hint of tarragon.

As always, these wines will be open from 2:30 until 7:30 today ! Stop by for a free sample, and hopefully your weekend wines !

Hey folks !

Today we are spotlighting some great new wines from France 🇫🇷 ! A white and a red for the lovely weekend coming up !

-Folium- Sauvignon Blanc
A perfect example of Loire Valley Sauv Blanc at a great price. Dry, fresh, and beautify refreshing acidity, you'll find bright citrus, cut grass, peach. Easy to enjoy !

-Altugnac- "Coté Pierre Lys" Pinot Noir
The name comes from the "Pierre Lys" wind that funnels through the canyon where these grapes grow. With lots of aromatic elegance, you'll find cherries, forest floor, and spices, with a long finish.

Hey folks !

Today we are featuring some Austrian 🇦🇹 wines, and are excited to showcase a brand new release from one of our favourite Austrian winemakers, Franz Weninger !

-Weninger- "Weinland"
An exciting new addition, this wine is 100% Souvignier Gris, a relatively new (1983) cross that is hardy and fungus resistant. It shows with clear and clean character, citrus acidity, and a mineral salty structure. We are excited !

-Pittnauer- "Vom Dorf"
100% St. Laurent from Iron rich gravel soils, this variety belongs to the Pinot family of grapes. Highly aromatic, with lots of cherry flavour, but with a deeper richer feel, and earthy autumn leaf notes !

We have a couple beautiful Canadian wines open for Free Friday Tasting today !

Benjamin Bridge Vineyards is located in the Gaspereau Valley in Nova Scotia, where they make a number of different expression from sparkling to sweet.

-Wild Rock- Red Blend
A smooth and inviting light bodied red blend with flavours of red cherries, fresh herbs and blackcurrent. Cabernet Franc and Marquette.

-Wild Rock- Rose Blend
And aromatic, bright, stone fruit forward rose blend with flavours of cherries, peaches, and white tea. Featuring Riesling and Muscat.

Stop by anytime between 2:30 and 7:30 to taste these !!
