Vineyard Update - Chris has been walking through our vineyard regularly this past week, checking fruit for brix, TA and pH. Chris also conducts regular site visits throughout the Lincoln lakeshore, escarpment, and Fourmile Creek. Weโ€™re about 3 weeks out from harvest beginning with chardonnay and pinot noir.

It has been hot and humid the past few days, but the forecast is calling for a week of nice warm days and mild nights, which is perfect! September is a crucial month for weather. It is important to have warm days so veraison can finish on our Bordeaux reds. We need the cooler nights and the air flow to help limit moisture for if there is disease pressure, the berries will soften and acid will drop. So we need to check pH TA and brix weekly. So far September temperatures looks very similar to 2025, but not as dry, and we need things to dry up -- 2026 will be an important year to watch your acids!

Nets are up. Bird deterrents and bird bangers have been going for about a month Thank you to who are watching the weather like a hawk and spraying accordingly.
